Webinar: Beyond Epitope Mapping
To evaluate the impact of variant mutations on rapid antigen tests our speakers developed a mammalian surface-display platform for SARS-CoV-2 Nucleocapsid protein, the target of the majority of antigen tests. They employed deep mutational scanning to evaluate binding of all possible Nucleocapsid point mutations to diagnostic antibodies. This approach generates unique escape mutation profiles for each antibody which serve as a valuable resource for predicting performance of antigen tests against past, current, as well as future variants of SARS-CoV-2.

RADx: Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx®) initiative was formed to accelerate the development, validation, and commercialization of innovative point-of-care and home-based tests, as well as improvements to clinical laboratory tests, that can directly detect SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
