Global View of COVID-19: A Pan-African Perspective
Our panelists are leaders in their country's response to addressing the pandemic in the face of limited resources.
The worldwide Covid-19 pandemic has affected our partners in sub-Saharan Africa; however, the impact has not been as catastrophic as initially anticipated. The reasons for this are unclear but could be due to its relatively young population, inherent immunity, rapid implementation of mitigation efforts, a coordinated public health response developed in part because of the prior Ebola epidemic. Our panelists are leaders in their country's response to addressing the pandemic in the face of limited resources.
