Center for Innovation in Point-of-Care Technologies for HIV/AIDS and Emerging Infectious Diseases at Northwestern
Focus: To support the development of a pipeline of Point-of-Care Technologies designed to meet the clinical needs of people who live with HIV/AIDS and emerging infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries.
C-THAN will support the development of a pipeline of Point-of-Care Technologies designed to meet the clinical needs of people who live with HIV/AIDS in low- and middle-income countries. C-THAN has assembled a scientific consortium made up of Northwestern University, Universities of Lagos, Ibadan and Jos (Nigeria), Cape Town and Stellenbosch (South Africa), University of Sciences, Techniques and Technologies of Bamako (Mali) and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (Tanzania).

RADx: Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx®) initiative was formed to accelerate the development, validation, and commercialization of innovative point-of-care and home-based tests, as well as improvements to clinical laboratory tests, that can directly detect SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
